Skydive Jersey is pleased to offer Static Line Progression training at Netheravon in Wiltshire.
Static Line progression training is the traditional method of learning to skydive. Static line jumps are conducted whereby the student parachutist is attached to the aircraft by means of a line that deploys the parachute automatically as they fall away.
The course commences with a day of ground based tuition with your Instructor. This covers the theory and practice of skydiving and the use of your parachute system. You will learn safety procedures, how the equipment operates, how to exit the aircraft, how to maintain control and communicate in freefall, how to initiate the opening of the main parachute, and how to steer down to the landing area and land safely.
To find out more about static line courses please contact us. A minimum group size of 3 is required. Students should allow a full weekend but, depending on weather may be able to achieve a number of skydives. Travel is by means of private aircraft from Jersey on a cost share basis. Travel cost are independant of course costs. Static Line courses can be conducted at the same time as AFF courses in Spain or France. These course offer a real chance for progression to freefall as they will be conducted over a period of (generally) 10 days.
